About

I'm Miles, a hobbyist photographer and keen rambler who loves nature, wild places, and the views of Cornwall, Devon, and beyond.

RamblingMiles is my personal corner of the internet, bringing together two long-standing interests: exploring the countryside on foot and photographing the places, wildlife and details I observe along the way.

From rugged Cornish cliffs and secluded coves to the open moorland of Dartmoor and the quieter corners of the countryside, I am drawn to places with their own character. Sometimes a sweeping landscape catches my attention. Other times, it might be an old ruin, a passing glimpse of wildlife, or something small and easily overlooked.

I particularly enjoy returning to familiar places. Changing light, weather, and seasons can change even the most recognisable landscape, and there is always something different to discover. For me, photography is less about seizing the perfect view than about observing, exploring, and appreciating the natural world.

This website is a personal collection of those experiences. Through photographs, rambles and occasional reflections, I share the landscapes I have explored, the places that have intrigued me and the times that have made me stop and look a little more closely.

RamblingMiles is an entirely personal, non-commercial project, created simply for the enjoyment of photography, walking and sharing a little of what I encounter along the way.

I hope that, whether you know these landscapes well or are discovering them for the first time, you find something here that inspires you to get outdoors, explore somewhere new or see a familiar place in a different light.

Thank you for visiting, and welcome to RamblingMiles.
